Why is Sober Crowd different?
We're here for the 'living sober' part.
Connection, friendship and support once you have decided to live alcohol-free.

Sober Crowd is all about being part of a social and supportive community where the people in that community are living alcohol-free. It is not your pathway to giving up drinking. There are a number of ways in which people reach sobriety and we're here for when you reach that stage.Â
WHAT WE ARE
A community built on lived experience
-
People to talk toÂ
-
Sober social connection
-
Support when things feel difficult
-
People who celebrate the wins with you
WHAT WE AREN'T
A route into sobriety or clinical service
-
No set recovery programme
-
No clinical treatment
-
No replacement for programmes such as Alcoholics Anonymous or professional help
Once you are on your sober journey, we are here to provide part of your support network. Your Sober Crowd community will have people you can have a chat with who you know are living without alcohol. Folk you can meet socially with – for coffee, a walk, days out, or a short time away. You will be connected to people you can pick up the phone to and reach out if you're struggling. They will also be there to share your joys with you and celebrate!

We are not an alternative to recognised approaches to getting sober, such as through Alcoholics Anonymous. We encourage use of such established programmes if your drinking has reached a point where you are struggling to stop on your own. Sober Crowd is here to help you maintain your sobriety and feel stronger and more confident as you go about living your alcohol-free life.Â
The lived-experience of Sober Crowd provides an important foundation. Our focus is on supporting through socialising and helping you live as full a life as possible. That is what makes us different. There are no set programmes and no clinical treatment. We find that nothing takes the place of support from someone who is on a similar journey.Â
Our focus will always be on drawing from lived-experience whether that is experience from people who have been caught in addiction or those who are living sober because they no longer choose to have alcohol as part of their life (for whatever reason).
WE SEEK TO FILL THE GAP
Similar journeys. Genuine understanding. A fuller alcohol-free life.
