Sober Crowd Newbury is a local group specifically for people in Newbury and the surrounding areas of West Berkshire, and North Hampshire. If you live, work, or spend time in these areas, this is your community. 

This group is for you if you are living alcohol-free and want a place to connect, share, support each other, and feel part of something grounded, friendly, and real. Whether you’re brand new to sobriety, many years in, or simply curious about alcohol‑free living, you are genuinely welcome at Sober Crowd Newbury.

Online catch ups

A weekly supportive check-in via Zoom

As a member of Sober Crowd Newbury you will have access to be able to join the weekly online catch ups.  These happen in the evening and are a great time of sharing, deepening connection and supporting each other.

In person get togethers and activities

Each month we get together for an activity or day out and often an additional in-person coffee somewhere locally in between.  Great opportunities to get to know people in our local 'Crowd' and to relax in an alcohol-free environment. 

WhatsApp Group

Opportunity for daily connection

For those who use WhatsApp, our group provides a daily point of connection for support, encouragement and sharing.  Members check in with each other on those tricky days and celebrate together the milestones and joys of each journey. 

What does being part of 'Sober Crowd Newbury' mean?
